10th jazz & klez summit
a musical meeting of top jazz & Klezmer Bands
Two talented East Bay bands, the Albany Jazz Band (1 pm) and the Netivot Shalom Jazzkleztet (2:30 pm), come together for a musical celebration of jazz and klezmer.
ALBANY JAZZ BAND (1 pm)
This mighty 20-piece ensemble led by Bob Levenson plays classic to modern instrumental jazz, including swing, latin, and other genres. The band also features superb vocalists who perform songs from the Great American Songbook.

CNS JAZZKLEZTET (2:30 PM)
This high-energy 12 person ensemble led by Rabbi Stuart Kelman and Heikki Koskinen performs original arrangements blending jazz and klezmer. Its performance is dedicated to the memory of Sandy Schneider (z"l) on his 20th yahrtzeit, and will include a piece by Sandy.
